Position: Executive Director
General background and job description
Convictus is a non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) with basis and operations in Sweden, Estonia and Ukraine. It is devoted to supporting HIV-positive individuals as well as individuals with different kind of abuse problems. Convictus Ukraine is working with the target groups consisting of HIV-positive and drug addicts, many of them with in the prison and probation system.
Today Convictus Ukraine consists of a main office in the city center of Kiev, and a community center for the target groups, on the right bank.
The main tasks for the Executive director are to develop the organization, keep the team spirit and coordinating ongoing projects as well as planning and coordinating new projects. The organization has recently been granted a new three-year project, witch aims to develop a model for reintegration of prison inmates in the society. Develop a so called Half way house-model that fits the Ukrainian society. This new project is funded by Convictus Sweden with funds from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
As the Executive Director you are responsible for the operations in Ukraine and reports directly to the board, and keep contact with the Project Manager in Sweden. Monthly financial reports and operations reports when needed to the different donors.
The Executive Director in Ukraine is eager to develop and coordinate the new project and has the right motivation and excellent skills for communication and conflict solving; he/she has to be able to listen to and work together with people with different backgrounds. The Executive Director also has to able to deal with authorities and to cooperate with other NGOs in a constructive way.
The Executive Director has a democratic management style where he/she is a member of the team.

Support will be given from the Swedish Project Manager and from the board of Convictus Ukraine.
Requirements
Candidate profile:
- Age 25-40
- Experience of work in NGO
- Experience of voluntary work
- International experience (either longer trips or studies abroad)
- Interest and knowledge of global issues
- Higher Education, preferably in the humanitarian field
- Experience with the target groups (personal- or work related)
- Management experience desirable
- Fluent English and Ukrainian/Russian
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel

- Interested in social issues – having the right attitude
- Structured, well organized
